Supporting the community beyond affordable housing

25 Feb 2016

Access Housing is proud to be a socially responsible organisation that is committed to making a difference to people’s lives.

While the company’s primary business of managing and developing affordable housing properties to assist Western Australians in need inspires our staff each and every day, so too does Access Housing’s resolve to go further to make positive impacts beyond our role as an industry leading affordable housing provider.

This commitment to further assist the WA community extends to our Board of Directors who collectively donate their Board of Director Meeting Fees to a range of charities and charitable initiatives in lieu of personal payment. Financial Year 2014/15 saw more than $13,000 worth of directors fees set aside to be donated to charities including the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Access Housing confirmed its support of the Starlight Children’s Foundation for three years in 2014/15. Access Housing’s yearly contributions of $5,000 to the charity will assist more than 120 seriously ill children to take part in the Starlight Express Room program at Princess Margaret Hospital each year.

Access Housing also provides charitable contributions to the St Vincent de Paul Society’s annual CEO Sleepout and Swags for the Homeless during Homeless Person’s Week, which in 2015 saw Access Housing pay for and donate 48 swags to service providers assisting the homeless across the Perth metropolitan area and Peel and South West regions.

Access Housing is proud to continue its commitment to assisting the WA community beyond its provision of affordable housing.
