Scholarships to help tenants become job-ready

6 Apr 2018

Are you an Access Housing tenant that wants to begin training and education?
Are you already studying and struggling with fees and other costs?

If you are an Access Housing tenant or household member of at least three (3) months and are committed to engaging with our Creating Choices Program to help you in your journey towards becoming job-ready, you could be eligible for scholarship funding!

The Access Housing Board of Directors has donated $10,000 to the Creating Choices Scholarship Fund to assist tenants who are aspirational with fees for education or training courses and associated costs.

Each successful scholarship applicant will receive:
– Up to a maximum of $1,000 towards study or training related costs, and
– Support, planning and guidance from Access Housing’s Creating Choices Program team

“One of our current focusses is assisting tenants who are aspirational to break down barriers that may be stopping them from achieving their education, training or employment goals,” Access Housing Acting General Manager of Tenancy Services Kathryn Moorey said.

“If you are motivated to become job-ready, please contact our Creating Choices Officer Alex Kepes to discuss your eligibility and to find out more.”
