Discussing finance in an NFP setting

Access Housing Chief Financial Officer Ian Aiyathurai will form part of an expert panel of not-for-profit CFOs discussing financial dynamics of the sector at the WA CFO Symposium 2017.

This year’s symposium panel session, themed Challenges and Opportunities for a Not for Profit CFO in an Age of Disruption, will see Ian and other panellists discuss a range of sector-specific financial dynamics and share knowledge and insights with their peers on the unique challenges and opportunities the finance function in a mission driven organisation faces.

Ian joined Access Housing in the role of CFO in April 2013 and has been pivotal in transforming the financial and corporate services areas of the business, which have provided a solid foundation for the company’s growth. He holds a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas and is a graduate of the prestigious GE Experienced Finance Leadership Program. He has also completed US and UK professional accounting qualifications.

Ian’s role at the WA CFO Symposium 2017 follows a busy and successful 2016 where he and Access Housing Chief Executive Officer Garry Ellender were popular presenters at events focussing on financial innovation, particularly in the affordable housing sector.
