Access Housing Practice Consultant Alison Paterson will deliver a specialist presentation at the West Australian Council of Social Service (WACOSS) 2018 Conference in Perth on Wednesday 2 May.
Alison’s presentation – titled Improving Social Cohesion: Social housing, mental illness and addiction – will be delivered on day two of the three-day conference. The presentation will reference the diagram shown at the bottom of the page and discuss improving outcomes for social housing tenants with a mental illness coinciding with drug and alcohol addictions. The presentation will also discuss social cohesion outcomes for the communities in which the tenants are housed.
Alison has more than 25 years’ experience as a social worker across the child protection, aged care, community development, policy development, cultural and linguistic diversity, mental health, homelessness and housing sectors. Alison joined Access Housing in 2016 to create and implement capacity building programs for Access Housing tenants.
