Partner in Profile – Enable WA
Enable WA provides support to individuals and their families living with disability and mental health diagnosis, as well as aging and short and long term illness.
Enable WA is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation that has been operating in the South West since 1991. Its fundamental philosophy is “with belief, anything is possible”. The organisation employs more than 250 dedicated staff who understand the importance of inclusion as a concept for developing and maintaining a typical life.
Enable WA recently changed its trading name from Enable Southwest to Enable Western Australia (or Enable WA). This name change reflects their growing organisation and is now more representative of their geographical spread, which has become broader than just WA’s South West. In addition to their head office in Bunbury, Enable WA has also opened other regional offices in Busselton, Manjimup, Bridgetown, Margaret River and Mandurah to support people in the greater South West region and beyond.
“Having a strong partnership with Access Housing has meant that we have been able to ease the transition to living independently to become a much more seamless process and have also been able to support our clients maintain their tenancies more successfully.” (Rhea Tansell – Chief Operations Officer – Enable WA)
