It was another milestone year for Access Housing in 2018. We were a finalist for, and won, prestigious national industry awards, completed a new affordable housing development for seniors, established and strengthened partnerships with other community service providers to further assist our tenants and facilitated a range of initiatives and programs for our tenants through our Creating Choices program.
But, most importantly, in 2018 we proudly provided secure, affordable homes to more than 3,000 Western Australians.

Boyanup seniors villas deliver award for BGC Construction: Access Housing’s South West Ageing in Place Housing Pilot Project development at Boyanup was recognised as one of the South West’s best residential developments at the 2018 Master Builders-Bankwest Building Excellence Awards for the South West. Project builder BGC Construction collected the Best Multi Residential Development ($1.5M – $2M) award for their work at our Boyanup seniors complex. Click here to read more.

Swags donation ahead of National Homelessness Week 2018: Access Housing proudly shared 44 donated swags amongst five frontline support organisations assisting homeless people in Perth, Peel and the South West ahead of National Homelessness Week 2018, which was held between 6-12 August. Affordable housing residence in Bunbury celebrates fifth birthday: Access Housing’s 37 room lodging residence in Bunbury’s CBD has provided hundreds of low income earners a foundation from which they could stabilise over the past five years. Click here to read more.
Pathways to Volunteering: Access Housing launched a new collaborative workshop series for tenants interested in volunteering. Tenants lead ‘Access to Accommodation’ discussion: As part of International Day of People with Disability celebrations, Access Housing hosted and heard from some of our highly valued tenants who are living with a severe and persistent disability during a panel event in early December.
