2017 – Access Housing’s Year in Review

15 Dec 2017

Access Housing had much to celebrate in 2017. We won industry awards, built more than 100 new affordable homes, established new partnerships with other community service providers and commenced new initiatives and programs for our tenants.

But, most importantly, we proudly provided secure, affordable homes to more than 3,000 Western Australians in 2017. Through our provision of affordable housing we provided approximately $12 million worth of living cost reductions to tenants through an average 42% rental subsidy.

The year saw our Property Development team complete 117 new affordable homes across seven project sites, taking the total number of affordable homes built or purchased by Access Housing since 2013 past 300. Two of these projects, SHAC @ WGV and Jervis Rise Apartments, collected prestigious industry awards.

Access Housing also achieved an 87% satisfaction rate in our annual Tenant Survey.

In addition to the above, here is a snapshot of other key events and achievements that took place in 2017 at Access Housing;
