2015 – Access Housing’s Year in Review

17 Dec 2015

2015 was another successful year for Access Housing, with the company recording a range of significant achievements and milestones across its business divisions.

Properties under management grew to 1,901 in FY2015, allowing for more than 3,000 individuals to have a place to call ‘home’ thanks to Access Housing and Access Housing Realty. In doing so we provided $14 million in rental subsidy discounts, a Social Value Indicator representing an average 54% reduction in rents to alleviate housing affordability stress.

Our staff’s commitment to our tenants helped us record a 91% satisfaction rate in our annual Tenant Survey, showcasing the quality of customer service our Tenancy Services, Property Services, Maintenance and Reception staff commit themselves to.

The calendar year also saw our Property Assets team complete 23 new affordable housing dwellings through our property development programs, taking the total number of dwellings completed by Access Housing since 2013 past 150. In addition, we also have more than 150 further dwellings in our approved development plan either under construction or to commence construction in 2016.

In addition to the above, here is a snapshot of other key events that took place in 2015 at Access Housing;
